MOUNTEBANK is here!
a day of tomfoolery
Have you ever been a fool
I cannot describe my love
—Ariana ReinesI am very, very grateful to share something that is not an April Fool’s joke: MOUNTEBANK has officially been released into the world as of yesterday! 🥳
I am so, so grateful to Broken Sleep and my editor Aaron Kent for making MOUNTEBANK into a real, holdable thing (Aaron made the cover, too, which I love!). If you number among MOUNTEBANK’s readers, thank you from the bottom of my heart — I’m really proud of this book and it means the world for it to connect with readers, be on people’s bookshelves, get lent out and left on the bus and and and…
I have been really enjoying getting to read from the book, too, including at the March Broken Sleep Books launch and for a really wonderful event organized by Tyler Burn for Lo Fi Lit (I’ll share those recordings via social media as soon as they come out!). I am also hopeful that I’ll do a couple in-person readings in Massachusetts this summer.
I’ll leave you with the conclusion of the #soapboxpoem series, a set of poems/pieces of art/music/etc. that inspired MOUNTEBANK in some way. Here they are:
Thank you very much for reading, and all the best :) 🎭

CONGRATULATIONS TO MY FAVORITE POET! Your reading was wonderful yesterday! 🤩
